Parks & Recreation
Los Encinos State Historic Park – 5-acres of bliss, including the original nine room de la Ossa Adobe, Garnier Building, blacksmith shop, pond, and natural spring. This gorgeous park also features a small museum, historic buildings, and picnic grounds that are all wonderful to behold after practicing in our Yoga Encino studio.
Sepulveda Basin Recreation Area – home of the Woodley Worel/Magnus Cricket Complex with four of the best grass cricket pitches in the United States dating back to LA’s cricket’s origins in 1888. It also includes multiple golf courses, tennis courts, soccer fields, baseball diamonds, bike paths, and a lake bordered by thousands of Pink Cloud cherry trees that blossom in the spring.
Balboa Sports Complex – features lighted outdoor basketball and tennis courts, a lighted baseball diamond and football field, and lighted handball court and volleyball courts – so you can bring your game-of-choice at any hour. There’s also an unlighted soccer field, children’s play area, community room, and indoor gymnasium.
Encino Park – founded circa 1937, this nostalgic park draws youngsters to its playgrounds and adults to it’s outdoor basketball courts and lighted tennis courts.
Sepulveda Basin Off-leash Dog Park – 6.5 acres of leash-free dog area, half-acre small dog area, an on-leash picnic area, and a hundred parking spots.
Sepulveda Garden Center – community garden with about 16 acres of land and 400 garden plots, a beautiful sight to behold and to practice Yoga in a natural setting.
